Duncan Armstrong of Padiham produces some exquisite pencil drawings of locomotives and other railway items. He also draws views of his native Lancashire landscapes.
With this drawing Duncan used a photograph taken of 76084 exiting Crosby-Garrett Tunnel on the Settle and Carlisle line. The photograph is one of a number taken of this particular working dating from 18 November 1964 was the 1.00pm Carlisle to Skipton Pick Up Goods. You can see the other images in our ‘In BR Service’ Flickr photo album.
