A fundraising scheme for the overall of the tender was launched at the AGM and the basis of this scheme is as follows. The water capacity of the tender is 3,750 gallons (as modified at Hepscott) and sponsorship to fill our tender is available at the rate of £15 per gallon.
Despite no prior notice of this concept, those attending on the day were very quick in making contributions. Since then further the sum have been donated and 100 gallons have already been sponsored!
Your help is now sought to boost the level and help prioritise and complete the tender overhaul as soon as possible. This can be undertaken in two ways.
By cheque, payable to 76084 Locomotive Company Ltd. at the Registered Office – 162, Bankhead Road, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL6 1JD. Alternatively, by bank transfer to sort code 16-57-10 and account number 53476517 using a reference ‘Tender’. All monies from this appeal will be ringfenced and used solely for the tender overhaul.
